Art and Culture
Donate nowCulture, in all its personal and social expressions, is the essential garment with which human beings surround themselves—an imprint of human life upon the world around them. Art, in its many forms, is the highest expression of that culture, capable of giving meaning and depth to life by transcending time and matter, shaping them with delight and satisfaction into forms that previously did not exist. Is not musical creation, among others, a powerful example of this? But what is the human being trying to express through art? Why is he, among all living creatures, the only one capable of culture and art? What moves him—if not the spirit within—to continually create new forms of artistic greatness and beauty that go beyond the limits of time and the material he works with?
