Donate nowHuman beings have always looked to the sun, the moon, and the stars for help in surviving: first, to ensure better harvests and to navigate or migrate with fixed points of reference; later, through powerful telescopes and space probes, to explore ever further the laws of the cosmos, galaxies, and other worlds—seeking their origins or possible places where life might exist, even hoping to find other beings like themselves. What could drive the human being beyond the bounds of the Earth to seek the origin of the vast, unimaginable cosmos and the existence of other possible worlds or life forms? Only the presence of the spirit within—an image of God the Creator—can motivate such pursuit, propelling humans to overcome incredible obstacles and dangers with such resolve, despite having no certainty in hand.
