Play and Sport
Donate nowWhy do humans have an inherent need to play and invent continuous and infinite games, to challenge themselves with limits and rules, and to develop always new competitive skills and sports disciplines? Why does a human delight and find joy in play and sport? This, like other aspects, is a reality that differentiates humans from animals: personal and team skills and creativity form the basis of many sports with which to measure oneself with passion, going beyond the mere need to ensure the body’s survival and development. For humans, if they did not have a spiritual soul, would it still be possible to experience delight, joy, and satisfaction in play and sport?
