This discipline studies social phenomena, behaviors, and relationships among individuals within social groups or human institutions. Precisely because these groups are not merely sums of people but something more due to the richness and complexity of interactions both within and outside them, what would the study of social phenomena and the awareness of its research data be if the spiritual soul in each person were ignored? Wouldn’t it soon lead to considering society and its groups not as a complex of individuals but as a mass of individuals to study and direct, progressively replacing each person’s spiritual soul with a “social soul,” thereby constructing a partial and deceptive social happiness or well-being? Wouldn’t sociology then easily become just a tool for market laws or the uniform thought of a new dictatorship?
